Dr Catherine O’Rourke

Dr Catherine O’Rourke studied in France and qualified in 1986 as a Docteur en Chirurgie Dentaire in the U.E.R d’Odontologie inRennes, Brittany.  Her thesis was on the effect of fluoride in the prevention of dental decay.

She works and enjoys every discipline of Dentistry and believes in the main role of preventative dental care.  After working many years in general dental practice Catherine started working in Corktreating children exclusively for two years in 2000.  She opened The Lodge Dental Practice in 2005, with full updated dental equipment, digital radiological machine, intra oral camera, computerised dental chair and patients recording data.  She regularly attends dental courses to keep updated with new trends and materials to deliver the best treatment option catered for the individual.  The Lodge has grown strongly and now employs specialised dental professionals with the same purpose to deliver quality and affordable dental care catered to each individual need and demand.

Dr Kevin O’Rourke Orthodontist

Dr Kevin O’Rourke graduated in dentistry from UCC in 1986.  He has practiced dentistry in the South of England, France and the West of Ireland.
Since 2001 he has restricted his practice to Orthodontics.  Having passed the fellowship exams  he has since completed a three year full time postgraduate programme.  His thesis was on the perception of anterior smile aesthetics.  Dr O’Rourke has been awarded both the membership in Orthodontics by The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and a doctorate in Orthodontics by University College Cork.
Dr O’Rourke uses the most advanced techniques available to produce beautiful and healthy smiles in a caring environment.

Dr. Barry Crowley

Dr. Barry Crowley graduated from university College Cork in 2009 with an honours degree.  He subsequently completed the twelve month Postgraduate Vocational Training Programme in Waterford where he worked in both private and public health dental care.
Barry then moved to London for a year where he worked in Kent in an NHS/Private Practice.
In August 2011 Barry returned to general practice in New Ross and finally to his homeland of Cork in 2013.
Dr. Crowley is committed to further professional development in all aspects of dentistry and has completed the most recent and up-to-date courses in Crown and Bridge Restorations, Endodontics (root canal treatment) and  cosmetic dentistry where minimally invasive techniques such as the use of composite (white) filling material and tooth whitening can improve the appearance of a smile.

Its not ALL work, Barry is a very keen GAA supporter and plays hurling and football for his local club, Ballinora, and generally enjoys keeping fit and following sport.

Kelsie Sullivan

Kelsie is the newest member of our team at the Lodge Dental Practice joining us in December 2017.
Originally from Schull in West Cork, Kelsie received her qualification in Dental Hygiene from Cork University Dental School and Hospital in 2014. She has successfully completed her certificate in Intra Oral and Panoramic Dental Radiography. Prior this, Kelsie spent two years in Dublin Dental School and Hospital, Trinity College Dublin, where she achieved her Diploma in Dental Nursing in 2012. Here she gained invaluable experience working with many different members of the dental team. She is registered with the Dental Council of Ireland and the Irish Dental Hygiene Association.

Kelsie is very friendly and has great empathy towards patients showing enthusiasm in educating and motivating patients of all ages helping to improve their overall oral health.
In her free time, Kelsie likes to travel home to Schull for any form of water sports.
